“ Never had better ribs anywhere in or around Atlanta -- outstanding! Rated #1 by Atlanta Magazine in 2008. Followed closely by the pulled pork, brisket, pork-and-beans and cornbread. There wasn't a dead spot on the plate. If you missed the meeting, this one is worth the drive. Just remember that indoor seating is very limited, so I wouldn't go when rain is in the forecast. The icing on the cake is getting to see the cooking shack out back with a real pit in it. Nothing electric or automatic about this set-up. It's grates, hardwoods, and a cover, plus a lot of attention to cooking temps and take-off temps. I enjoy the convenience of accessories like The Barbecue Guru. But it's going to be a sad day when all of the real pit masters like this guy are gone. David ”

“ Sorry that I did not show up on time, but I brought my wife home from the hospital, we just had a baby boy. I did clear it with my wife first that I could come to the meeting straight from dropping her off with my in-laws, they watched her until I could return. :-) I had a great time and thought everyone was very nice. “ I showed up late on purpose. Wayne Germon is a friend of mine. I just wanted to visit and have ribs. Someone wanted me to follow him down the street and ride back in a limo, so I just went on home. I'm sure the BBQ was excellent. Wayne and I have shared ideas for 3-4 years. He is a good man. ”
