“ I got there at 11:00 and had a hard time finding the "tent." After circling the event three times and not seeing any "meetup" sign, I asked the coordinators of the event about the VIP tent. I went to the VIP tent and asked them about our group. I had to go through three people with "lists" before they finally gave me a VIP pass but a lady told me that I couldn't "loiter" in the tent and that I should walk around and enjoy the event. After walking around for an hour and checking back at the VIP tent for members of the group, I finally gave up. It was 12:30 and raining. I bought two different plates of Bar-b-que to take home so that my long drive from Norcross wasn't a total waste. ”
“ The weather didn't really cooperate so the turn out was smaller than hoped for. It was the first Atlanta BBQ Club meeting that Doris and I attended. We met some great people and look forward to developing strong friendships with them. They stoked our interest in BBQ to a higher level (which is hard to do to a couple of BBQ nuts). The food was good, the music was great, and the fellowship was fantastic. We had a great time.

“ The bad news was it rained, oh well. The good news was it was great fun being surrounded by so many great BBQ vendors. We sat under the Atlanta BBQ awning which was clearly marked with the 6' banner and shared BBQ from all over the area. I just want to extend a very special thanks to all of the organizers on what a great job they did. I will be sure to bring more people to the function next year, I will be looking forward to it. It is really a shame that so many company's hard work isn't sometimes recognized, Especially for such a good cause, our boy and girls. The food, company and music was great what more can you ask for. ”
